A few months worth....

The last time I posted on this blog was in January.... how pathetic!  I have done some projects---- not many though.  Having kids in school and needing to go every direction is what my life is all about right now.  I will TRY to be better about posting my projects.  Especially now that it's summer and have sooo much more time on my hands.  HA!  Kids are already asking what the plans are for the day.  Can't we have a day without plans?

So back in February I made myself a Valentine candy dish.  One of the very few Valentine decorations I even have!

I helped make a quilt for our just released Bishop, to thank him for his outstanding job as a Bishop.  After the quilt was put together we had families sign in the white squares.  Turned out super cute.
Took a pair of Sydney's jeans that are too short but still fit around the waist and added a skirt.  She loved it but would NOT hold still for a picture.  Stubborn little girl---so this is what you get.
Skip many months of no projects---- there must have been something.  Geesh!!  I found this idea on Pinterest(next two projects too)  Whenever we are together with my cousins we always play domino's.  Thought this was a perfect gift for my cousin who had a birthday this summer.
Domino coasters!
This t-shirt for Sydney was super easy.  Little bit of ric rac and some ribbon.  Sew it all on and DONE!
This wreath is probably my favorite of the year so far.  Might be staying up all summer.  Just made with yarn and a foam wreath I found at Wal-mart, painted some stars and hung it up!
I can actually say I have a few sewing projects on the table.  Going to make the girls some skirts, maybe even myself.  Have a pillowcase to make for a birthday present too.  Oh, and I did make a tablecloth for my cousins birthday... but that I'm not going to show off yet... might be using that idea for a gift exchange at Christmas.

Now off to find some energy to sew.......

Fun with Flip Flops!

Here are the two FLIPPIN' quilts I made for Christmas presents this year.

My mom received this one (sorry it's sideways) I decided to do the flip flops of all the grandkids.

And this one was for Jeff's parents---- lots more grand kids.  They were actually fun to make.  A lot of it was done by hand.  I was able to quilt my mom's because it was smaller, and then just tied the other.
They loved them and if anymore grand kids are added... a pillow or two to match? (I'm counting on my sister in that department!)
