Table runner for a Friend

I have a really good friend who is moving away and I wanted to make her something so she doesn't forget me.  :)  Love how it turned out and really wished it didn't look so good on my table!  No worries, I already gave it to her and she loved it! 

What did I start?

This quilt was super fun but man it was a lot of work!  

Started by sewing squares together and then cutting them to make triangles

Then ironed them all flat.  Over 400 pieces

Sewed them together

Sewed two bigger squares together

then sewed four squares together

put them together

and finally sewed them together with borders.  Still need to quilt and bind. and I love it!!
